Trekking: another journey

What is Trekking:

Dictionary definition"little Robert":Hiking in mountainous regions that are difficult to access.

Difference between Trek and hike: Trekking is a term for naming a hike that lasts several days, in total or partial autonomy in wild areas (mountain, desert, jungle...). The trekker bivouac in the middle of nature during his journey.

Where to Trek:

You can go for 1 or more days in the mountains of course, but also why not in a desert, in the jungle, along an ocean, or between 2 cities... there is no favorite area. Listen to your wishes!!

Go far, to the other side of the world or 2 steps from home

Choose to walk on the traces of a PR(walking path and hikes) for a maximum of one day and generally marked in yellow or choose to go on a GR (long-distance hiking path) for several days following the red and white markings.

Why do Trekking:

Going solo, in a duo or in a group, trekking is often an opportunity to surpass oneself, to recharge one's batteries, to reveal oneself in the middle of nature.

Find the primary instincts of "man" (I don't forget women:)...eat, drink, walk, take shelter. All these elements that today's world makes us forget little by little to the point of no longer seeing the beauty of this nature that surrounds us.

Trekking can be seen as an inner journey of initiation, a return to the source.

No need to be a super sportsman...just a little courage for 1 day, 2 days or more and you already disconnect from this so-called modern world.

Charter of the good hiker:

Above all, do not forget these common sense tips

  • Do not make any noise

  • Respect nature

  • Do not feed animals

  • Don't throw away your rubbish

  • Make fire where allowed

  • Do not exceed your limits

  • Bring enough supplies (water/food)

  • Tell your loved ones where you are going

  • Equip yourself according to the conditions you will encounter

  • Take your camera...to bring back memories and share them

Good Trek to all, good trip and good photos
